Shane is one of two rams we used for breeding in the fall of 2003. He is a registered Corriedale that we purchased from Bryan and Gina Vining of Federer Corriedales in Cheyenne. He was the Supreme Champion of all wool breeds at Adams County Fair and the Grand Champion Corriedale Ram at Boulder County Fair in 2002. This is Christina with all of her 2002 White Handspinning class awards. She was Reserve Champion at National Western as a lamb and was Grand Champion at Estes Park Wool Market, Adams County Fair, and Boulder County Fair. She is 18 months old in this picture and as you can see, she is a really big girl.
Lottie Lou is shown with her Reserve Champion ribbon from the 2002 Boulder County Fair. Lottie Lou and Christina grew up together and are best buddies. It is interesting to us that lambs of the same generation tend to remain close to each other throughout their lifetime.
Laura Lee was Grand Champion of the White Handspinning Class at National Western. She placed over Christina because many judges have a hard time making lambs, like Christina was then, Grand Champion simply based on potential. The judge could see Laura Lee's dense top quality wool and her long growthy body. He had to project how Christina would grow out and she didn't really give indications at that time that she would get quite so large. Laura Lee was a one of our registered Corriedales.
Hanna did herself very proud at Adams County Fair and was the Reserve Champion ewe in the White Handspinning class as a lamb. She has beautiful wool and is structurally very correct. Nick, better known as Spot, shows off his 2002 awards. He showed in the White Handspinning Class. He won Grand Champion at Adams County and Boulder County Fairs and was the Reserve Champion at Estes Park Wool Festival.
Gretta proudly displays her Reserve Champion ribbon for the White Handspinning class at National Western Stock Show in January 2001. This is Molly with her 2001 ribbons. She was Grand Champion Colored Ewe at National Western Stock Show and The Platte River Livestock Show in Denver. She was also Reserve Champion at Boulder County Fair.

This is a view of our pens at National Western Stock Show. Our sheep were wondering why it was so warm in January and who are all of these strange people.

DeeDee stood right below Molly as Reserve Champion colored ewe at National Western. She really has lovely wool.

Carolyn shows off Gretta's Grand Champion ribbon at 2001 The Estes Park Wool Market. We competed in this show since it started in 1990. Nestled at 7500 feet in the shadow of Rocky Mountain National Park, it is surely the most beautiful venue of any fiber show in the country. It is now the largest Llama and Alpaca show in the US. Over 50 vendor booths are filled with equipment, fleeces, raw fibers and finished coats, scarves, hats shawls and more.

Here we are displaying the bag of feed from Ranchway that we won for
being the White Wool Premier Exhibitor in 2001.
